July 31, Berlin.
Ready… and… go!
Museum time! First stop Martin-Gropius Museum to see the Bauhaus exhibit. Then headed over to the Topography of Terror as it was just around the corner. Walked along the west side of the Berlin Wall. Then checked out the Holocaust Memorial. At the New National Gallerie, saw some great surrealist work, Dali, Ernst, Calder too. I’ve really learned to love Calder. Seeing his mobiles makes me so happy. Hit up the Ramone’s museum. Weird since I’m a New York girl… then wandered towards Kastanien Allee, felt like San Fran.
Berlin’s Ampelmann (via lizthegirl) July 29, Berlin. I’m very fond of the Ampelmann. He’s the Walk/Don’t Walk traffic light guy. He just seems so friendly, arms wide open, and wears a cute little hat. What’s not to love?
